Soul became funk, philly sound and disco, even in French!

69 l’année érotique, de hoogmis van de flower-power baarde een decennium dat barstte van de muzikale creativiteit. Muziekstijlen werden onder toverstrooisel bedolven en mondden uit in totaal nieuwe, ongehoorde genres, met een melting pot van heerlijke gekheid tot gevolg: uit rock ‘n’ roll en pop ontstonden glam-rock, hard-rock en punk, soul werd funk, philly sound en disco, zelfs en français!
Party’s in de seventies heetten ‘fuiven’ en waren unieke belevenissen. Alles kon en mocht. Alle muziekstijlen stookten hand in hand de dansvloer heet onder in plateauzolen gehulde dancing feet. Wat een tijd!
Waar is de tijd van de vinyl singles en waanzinnige stationcalls gedrenkt in galm en delay ‘Ken je déze nognognognognog….?’ De periode dat refreinen door iedereen op de dansvloer werden meegebruld terwijl men er duchtig luchtgitaar bij speelde en de Studio 54 dancemoves imiteerde. De tijd van puur plezier en breed denken. De tijd van de klassiekers, songs die blijven en iedereen op de dansvloer krijgen… de koorts van de zaterdagavond!
